Mechanics

Trains, planes and automobiles . . . . . as I recently stated, boys will always have their toys - they just get bigger as they get older.  Tristan has spent the last couple of weeks working on his Integra after the clutch went out.  I decided to take advantage of his misfortune and try to get some good shots while he was hard at work with his buddies.

Although it took them a lot longer than expected and they hit a couple of snags along the way - I was pretty impressed that they took it all apart and *eventually* got it put back together again.

While out at the garage, I also got under the hood a bit and changed the oil in my baby.  I may have cut open my finger in the process, but I managed to get it done start to finish without spilling a drop of oil!!

You may have noticed my updated page heading.  Stay tuned for some more small changes to come, as well as a project I am really excited to share about!!

Sleep

Sleep: children resist it, parents relish it - we all need it.  This little girl is one cute sleeper, though!!  I had the opportunity to do my second official photo shoot, as well as my first newborn shoot, last week.

It was so hard to decide which photos to spend time editing - and even harder to pick the ones I was going to showcase here!!!

Some of my favorite photos are the ones focusing on specific body parts - especially her feet and belly!

Next up will probably be some sibling shots.  I think big sister is looking forward to it being her turn again.  This was definitely a fun shoot.  Hopefully I will get some chances to do some more baby shoots in the near future!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week, I found a great weekly link party by Ashley Sisk at Ramblings & Photos - it's called Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  Each week she posts 5 words, while bloggers in turn write a post including photos that capture each of the 5 items and link up their blog.  I was pretty excited to take part in this week's party.  So, with that being said, here we go~~

While spending some time at my in-laws this weekend, I snagged this great shot of my newest niece.  3 month old Tealyn is quite the charmer!!

Tristan's latest hobby is building and driving these remote controlled rock crawlers.  It is true what they say, boys will always have their toys - they just get bigger and more expensive as they get older :)  I must say, though, I have enjoyed my share of crawling as well...and these are not just childish toys!

I caught Miss Taryn smelling Nana's flowers in the backyard yesterday.

My daily batteries: my morning cup of coffee!!  The other day I missed it and the day just wasn't the same...

Half way between noon and midnight . . . and 6:00 splits the face of the clock in half.

To preview the items Ashley has chosen for next week, check the bottom of her website throughout the week.  I'm looking forward to trying this again!!

A Beautiful Day
