Wife. Friend. Photographer. Sister. Accountant. Daughter.
Not necessarily in that order.
I've lived in the Pacific NW my entire life, with the exception of a 3-month study abroad trip to China in college. Although I couldn't imagine living anywhere else, I do have dreams of moving somewhere that I can find more sunshine. The rainy season is so dreary and depressing.
When I was younger, I had this picture of what my life would be like. According to the game M*A*S*H (if you grew up in the 90s, I'm hoping you know what I'm talking about), I was going to live in a normal house, drive a convertible, work as a travel agent and have 3 kids by the time I was 25, the way my mom did. Unfortunately travel agents are all but extinct in this day and age. I will be 25 in a week and no kids here, yet. But life had something better in store for me.
I have been with my husband for just over 4 years (married for almost 2) and while we have spent our fair share of time living in apartment, we love the house we are now in. Kids will come in the future, but in the meantime, we have been able to make some really great memories just enjoying each other. That's not to say it's easy...marriage can be a lot of work and takes patience and compromise and some days, a little bit of alone time. But I am grateful to be able to grow with and alongside Tristan.
For the last 5 years I have worked as a tax accountant, which usually about as exciting as it sounds. For 3 months out of the year, I live at my office except to sleep for a few hours each night. To spice it up a little, last year I started really focusing on my photography, which has been an amazing journey. I am really excited about where that is going and love having the opportunity to share it with others here.
