Trying to keep warm

Last Sunday I had a photo shoot scheduled with a young, local family.  In emailing the mother to set up all of the details, I was told they had a 2 1/2 year old.  I spent a little bit of time Saturday planning out some fun poses to try with the little boy and his parents.

When Sunday morning rolled around, it was a chilly 31 degrees outside as I arrived at the park we had decided on. The family arrived shortly after I did and I was surprised to see them removing an infant carrier from the car.  They hadn't said anything about having a baby, too.  As it turns out, they did not have a toddler, but a 2 1/2 MONTH year old!  Small typo...so I quickly changed my plans and had to come up with a few new ideas.

Especially being that they had a small baby, I wanted to try to get as many different poses in as quickly as possible.  I needed to make sure that the little guy stayed warm while it was so cold outside.  Funny enough, he was totally into the camera - or maybe it was just a different face to look at.  But for the majority of the pictures he was looking right at me!  So we were able to get done in about half an hour.

This family was very sweet and their baby very mellow.  Although it was a quick session, it was fun!!
