Life is a Highway...

"...I wanna ride it all night long."

Well, maybe not all night, but I have spent a lot of time driving this weekend - all for good things :)  I got to drive a couple hours north yesterday to have lunch with my college roommate (we figured out it had been over a year and a half since we had seen each other - not again! We have plans to remedy that this time).

On the way home I had to stop for a bathroom break and stumbled upon these gems!!  <These may have to go towards my old car series...>

And yes - the gentlemen that owned these cars were old enough to be the original owners . . . I don't know that they were, but you know the type!

After getting home, Tristan and I drove an hour west to the coast to spend the evening with a couple friends around a campfire on the beach.  In my opinion, there is no better way to spend a Saturday night, then with a glass of wine, on a windless beach at the ocean, around a warm campfire with good company.

It took some more driving to get back home today, but we stopped along the way for a little more fun.  For the last year or so, Tristan has been really into these RC crawlers.  They are radio controlled trucks that can do some real climbing.  Some people would say they are toys, but they are actually pretty intricate and there is a lot of customization that you can do.  He just got a new one, which means I inherited the old one :)

FINALLY - I can't forget these cuties that I got to love on this weekend:

The weekend went too fast - but hopefully the sunshine that is predicted for the coming week will help it go by quickly....Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
