Scavenger Hunt Sunday

It has been a while since I have done one of these!!  I love Ashley's weekly link-up at Ramblings & Photos, though, and when reading through this week's list of subjects came up with some ideas right away so I figure it is a good week to jump back in!!

Is it weird that my idea of fun is searching out local gems for photo subjects?  Well...it doesn't really matter 'cause it's MY interpretation of fun!

This is my arts/crafts/scrapbooking supplies.  I don't love this storage solution.  It's functional, but not very eye-pleasing.  I love looking at all the fancy "craft rooms" on Pinterest....maybe someday.  For today, this works.

I am slightly humiliated to be posting this photo.  But this is my kitchen before I got in there this morning to take care of it.  I don't know how the dishes are always backed up (well, I do, but we won't talk about my laziness when it comes to house cleaning).  I love having a clean house - but would rather spend my time not cleaning :)

Being able to bring a new life into the world is one of the greatest blessings in life, or so I'm told.  Maybe someday I will see for myself.  I was planning to use one of the maternity photos from the session I had scheduled for yesterday.  Unfortunately they had to cancel at the last minute, so I had to pull one from last week instead.

This girl does NOT have a green thumb.  I will never claim to love gardening or yard work.  But when I saw these flowers at the farmer's market last week I couldn't resist.  And the jalapeno plant just sounded like fun *plus, Tristan LOVES jalapenos*.  So, I am at least going to make an effort to keep these guys alive for the summer.  And if we are lucky we might even get some fresh jalapenos out if!

  1. Once I sat my pride aside and posted a picture of one of my kitchen drawers. At the time I could proudly say it represented just ONE of my kitchen drawers - sadly, the other drawers caught drift of the attention and have followed suit. Messy doesn't begin to cover it.

Nice job on your interpretations of this week's words.

  4. Just a suggestion here....my mom always told me the dishes would seem less of a chore if I did them as I cooked. So, I load them into the dishwasher as I use them, and then as SOON as I am through eating, put up everything and the dishes go right into the dishwasher and then it get turned on. Hubby empties it for me.
Works the same if you do them by hand....just do them as you use them...and they won't pile up. Makes it much more pleasant to go and cook breakfast in the morning. :)
